Why death blossom? It is my favorite skill right now, but I am just curious why an aoe instead of a direct attack?

Ive tested and its been proven that to a single target the deep wound + bleeding of Twisting Fangs is more effective than Death Blossom. And seeing that your using Horns of the Ox, you must be attacking an isolated target.
I undertstand that Death Blossom only has 5 energy cost, which is helpful because you must have to put up Critical Defenses and AoD right before you go in to attack, which is 20 energy i believe. and You'll still need more for purge conditions. SO thats understandable, if you were looking at it from that point of view.

i use Death Blossom for 3 reasons
1. Because of the low energy cost
2. Because when i tried using Twisting Fangs i didnt seem to kill as fast as with death blossom.
3. Because my build is cookie cutter enough. I wanted to have some individuality

Your first point is valid, and to some degree understandable. The other two don't make any sense. Twisting Fangs does kill a great deal faster than Death Blossom, nor is any build "cookie-cutter" by using the most effective skills (as long as the person behind it realized how it is effective).
I don't know how long you can maintain Critical Defenses without Wild Blow, even with Critical Eye its too chancy for me to use. Purge Conditions has a long-ish recharge, a Mend Ailment with 0 spec would be better than this for condition removal on demand.

ok for 1 thing the 2nd reason i use death blossom is just my opinion but i didt kil as fast as with TF. Another is the long recharge on purge is bad yeah but if i remeber correctly mend ailment on removes 1 condition
Also i can keep CD up longer than the recharge if i keep attacking

One condition every...five, I think?...seconds is better than all of them every twenty. Conditions these days are typically spammed, not bombed with. You'll need rapid recharge a great deal more than multiple removals, trust me.

Twisting fangs kills much faster...that is the truth. Killing someone at half health with twisting fangs is the best.
The +35 damage Death Blossom does not even compare to the 100+ damage deepwound, the only thing is, you HAVE to make sure the second Twisting Fangs hits or else you don't get the deep wound.

Wow, yall talk about limited visions!
First of all, he never said what this build was for, PvE, PvP, AB, GvG, etc etc. For PvP, yes single target focus would be more appropriate, therefore Twisting Fangs WOULD be a better choice for fast target killing. Single target killing may not be his only aim however....
For PvE, there are many other roles that his build can fulfill. With Death Blossom you can do 90+ dmg every 12 seconds to a mob. With Moebius Strike you can crank that AoE even faster. I find myself using this often in PvE, since mobs in Factions are overall pretty dense. So far this has worked great, cause i can soften up multiple targets from 25% to 50% of their life before i even focus fire on them... (btw, before ppl go WTF? on my said dmg from Death Blossom, just remember it is a DUAL attk skill, so the base dmg + skill dmg x 2 AoE hits)
My fear is that too many Assasin playeres are starting to settle in a typical Cookie cutter idea of builds. He asked for critiques, not to be told how to use his build...
enjoy.

mix in some hexes, ones that reward energy for a certain attack, you can make way more interesting combos than the lame cookies i've been seeing around

Speaking of limited vision, did you happen to notice he is using Horns of the Ox ? As you know, this skill works to its fullest on lone targets and as long as it is in the build, its safe to assume that he doesn't intent to take out large groups. Even so, Death Blossom's AoE damage is not good at all (that much damage every 3-4 seconds would be excellent, but not every 12 seconds) and using it for that purpose is wasteful when the rest of the build doesn't point towards such a function. The only benefit of this skill is that it costs only 5 energy.
